Your enthusiasm for food and commitment to quality will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. You'll work closely with the culinary team, contributing to menu planning and executing food preparation tasks that keep our kitchen running smoothly. The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant where our guests do the cooking at their table. This means our kitchen does not have fryers, broilers, cheesemelters, or other cooking equipment that are in a typical hot restaurant kitchen. No grease makes a huge difference. We are looking for energetic and dependable individuals to add to our team. A great attitude and being team oriented are a must! We are a premier fondue restaurant located on Knapp corner. Our mission is to provide the Perfect Night Out to our guests and a positive work environment to our team members. We offer a warm, friendly, and positive environment that promotes teamwork! We offer competitive pay, meal benefits, and opportunity to grow. Our hours of operation are family and student friendly. We close at 9pm and Monday - Saturday at 10pm. Our prep cooks vary with in times and can range from noon to 5pm, depending on the shifts required for that schedule. We are looking for part time, with the possibility to earn more hours. The Melting Pot of Grand Rapids is a great supplemental income job for those with day jobs or are in school during the week. What you'll do Follows and reinforces The Melting Pot culture around the MVP card and Perfect Night Out. Practices teamwork by communicating with and assisting all members of the restaurant team, promoting positive interaction between all team members. Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring according to recipes Utilize knife skills effectively for precise cutting and presentation Adheres to and maintains company policies and standards, complying with uniform standards, appearance and grooming best practices and federal, state and local laws and guidelines concerning alcoholic beverages and food safety. Follows all of the company's specifications and procedures to ensure Exceptional Food. Follows all food rotation and re-stocking procedures using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method. Basic qualifications Experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform all job responsibilities. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within our kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using appropriate methods. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, countertops, and food preparation areas Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed to maintain food safety standards. Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow in the kitchen. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Experience in cooking or culinary arts is beneficial but not required. Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed within the kitchen.
