Job Summary Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Dishwasher/Steward, where your energetic approach and attention to detail will keep our culinary operations running smoothly! In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen environment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are impeccably cleaned and sanitized. Your efforts will support our chefs, servers, and catering teams in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational culinary skills while contributing to a vibrant hospitality setting. Duties Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold health and safety standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or assembling ingredients under supervision. Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces. Bypass cross-contamination by following proper food handling procedures during cleaning processes. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely turnover of dishes during busy service periods. Follow all safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment operation. Skills Strong commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards in food service environments. Basic understanding of food handling and safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with a positive attitude. Experience with bussing tables or supporting food service operations is a plus. Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or cleaning tools preferred. Excellent teamwork skills to coordinate with culinary staff during high-volume periods. Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, catering events or banquet settings is advantageous.
