Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist with basic food prep tasks to support culinary staff in meal assembly and presentation Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, floors, and work areas throughout each shift Support food handling procedures in accordance with food safety regulations to prevent contamination Assist with meal assembly and plating as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies to minimize waste and maintain freshness Follow all safety protocols, including knife skills and proper equipment use, to promote a safe working environment Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Basic knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices in a food industry setting Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and catering is a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience with restaurant or kitchen work demonstrating good knife skills and meal preparation abilities Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with culinary staff Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift Embark on a rewarding journey where your contributions directly impact the quality of our service.
