Job Summary:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate the 3 bin sink to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring that items are cleaned and sanitized according to established procedures. Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils, ensuring that they are stored in the appropriate location. Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces, including ovens, grills, and counters, using appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment. Remove garbage and recycling from the kitchen and dispose of it according to established procedures. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the manager when supplies are running low. Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including handling chemicals and equipment safely and correctly. Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role in a restaurant or bar setting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
