Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and providing excellent food service to our guests. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all kitchen surfaces are kept clean and organized. Assist with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes to facilitate smooth service during busy periods. Help with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and assisting cooks in the kitchen. Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices. Support catering events by ensuring all necessary items are cleaned and ready for service. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Willingness to help with various tasks beyond dishwashing, including food preparation and bussing as needed. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is a plus.
