Job Description
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas within the hotel's food and beverage operations. This role supports efficient kitchen operations by ensuring all culinary and service staff have clean and sanitized equipment available at all times. Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, mats, drains, and workstations Remove garbage and recycling from kitchen and service areas Organize and properly store clean dishes and equipment Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and closing duties Maintain cleanliness of employee cafeteria and banquet dish areas when applicable Support banquet and restaurant operations during high-volume periods Refill cleaning chemicals and notify supervisors of maintenance needs Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations Assist receiving and kitchen staff with deliveries and stock rotation as needed Maintain a clean and safe working environment Comply with hotel policies, grooming standards, and safety procedures Perform additional duties as assigned by managementRequirements:
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including nights, holidays and weekends ) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous dishwashing or stewarding experience preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Strong teamwork and communication skills Knowledge of sanitation and workplace safety practices preferred Physical Requirements Continuous standing and walking Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying Ability to work in hot, wet, and humid conditions Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment Key Competencies Reliability and punctuality Attention to cleanliness and detail Teamwork and cooperation Time management Ability to work under pressureNOTICE:
