Responsibilities Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following proper food handling procedures Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, sinks, and surrounding areas to uphold health standards Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and ingredients for the kitchen team Support banquet and catering events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use Help with general cleaning duties throughout the restaurant, including floors, counters, and storage areas Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely dish turnaround during busy service hours Follow safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment operation to maintain a safe work environment Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key Basic understanding of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving heavy items when necessary Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting the kitchen staff Experience with kitchen equipment or hotel service environments is a plus but not mandatory Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Join us in delivering an exceptional Japanese dining experience by keeping our kitchen running smoothly!
