Responsibilities Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area by regularly cleaning surfaces and equipment. Assist with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes to ensure a tidy dining environment. Help kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed, contributing to a smooth workflow in the kitchen. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations. Organize and store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas promptly after washing. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and management. Knowledge of basic food handling practices is a plus; training will be provided as necessary. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks as part of daily duties. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed based on restaurant demands.
