This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, vibrant kitchen environment.
Pay:
$19-20/hour
Schedule:
Tuesday 6pm-11:30pm, Wednesday-Friday 6pm-8:30pm. 15-17 hours a week. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients to support the kitchen's daily operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishes, utensils, and kitchen stations to uphold food safety standards Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently while managing the timely cleaning of all cookware, dinnerware, and kitchen tools Support the kitchen team with basic cooking tasks under supervision, ensuring meals are prepared according to quality standards Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene throughout all stages of meal service Assist with meal assembly and plating during busy service times in a manner that aligns with menu presentation standards Contribute positively to team efforts by maintaining a lively work environment focused on quality and efficiency Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling and safety protocols Experience working in restaurant or food service environments, especially in fine dining or catering settings, is highly desirable Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic food preparation techniques are preferred Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices is essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks throughout shifts Willingness to learn new skills related to menu planning, cooking techniques, and food industry standards Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel Embark on a culinary journey with us where your contributions directly impact memorable dining experiences.
