The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly washed and sanitized. This position is vital to the overall efficiency of our food service operations and contributes significantly to the hospitality experience we provide to our guests. Responsibilities Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste as needed. Assist in the preparation of food items as directed by kitchen staff or cooks. Support bussing efforts by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing area. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Requirements Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation practices is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 pounds).
