Duties Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Collaborate with chefs to ensure timely meal preparation and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food service areas. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure food safety. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs. Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff effectively. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn about menu planning and dietary needs. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
