We are looking for a reliable diswasher/prep cook. Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all dishware, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen tools are cleaned and sanitized efficiently. You are the backbone of the restaurant, ensuring that chefs and servers have the equipment they need to provide excellent service.

Key Responsibilities Cleaning & Sanitization:

Wash plates, glassware, silverware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashers or manual three-compartment sinks.

Equipment Organization:

Sort and stack clean dishes in their proper storage locations to ensure a smooth flow for both the kitchen and service staff.

Chemical Safety:

Safely handle and monitor cleaning chemicals (detergents, sanitizers, and rinse agents) and report when supplies are low.

Kitchen Maintenance:

Empty trash cans, sweep and mop kitchen floors, and ensure the loading dock/dish area remains organized and hazard-free.

Food Prep Support:

Assist the culinary team with basic prep tasks (e.g., peeling vegetables, portioning) during slow periods or as requested by the Chef.

Scrapping & Sorting:

Efficiently clear food debris from plates before washing and manage the sorting of compost, recycling, and trash.

Skills & Qualifications Reliability:

Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential; the kitchen depends on you being there.

Speed & Efficiency:

Ability to work quickly and stay organized during high-volume "rushes."

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for the duration of a shift, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs (racks of dishes, bags of flour, etc.).

Resilience:

Comfortable working in a hot, humid, and wet environment.

Team Mindset:

A "no task is too small" attitude and a willingness to help others.

Reliable Transportation:

Critical to this role is being consistent and on time. The Dishwasher is often the first step toward a career as a Prep Cook or Line Cook. We value team members who take pride in the cleanliness of our restaurant and are eager to learn the inner workings of a professional kitchen.
