Job Summary Shawnee Station Taproom and Kitchen recently celebrated our 2nd anniversary. Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Dishwasher and become a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your culinary skills and passion for food preparation shine. Whether you're preparing ingredients, cooking delicious dishes, or maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, your contributions will help create memorable meals for our guests. Paid positions are available for all levels of experience, and you'll be supported by a team dedicated to excellence and growth. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to menu specifications Cook menu items with precision, ensuring quality, presentation, and timely service Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe kitchen environment Support the kitchen team in meal assembly and plating for service Manage inventory levels of supplies and ingredients to prevent waste and ensure freshness Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of food industry practices, including catering and special event support Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus Demonstrated skills in food handling, cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal preparation Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures in a commercial kitchen Experience with menu planning or culinary tasks related to the food industry is advantageous Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills to serve guests effectively
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
