Non-Exempt Position Summary:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment using a dishwasher machine or by hand. This role supports the kitchen and food & beverage team by ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Essential Duties:

Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using a dishwasher or by hand. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing and kitchen areas. Ensure proper use and maintenance of dishwashing machines and cleaning supplies. Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and dining areas as needed. Assist with basic food prep or kitchen tasks as directed by kitchen staff. Follow all sanitation, safety, and food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations. Restock clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in their proper areas. Perform routine cleaning of kitchen equipment, floors, and surfaces. Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to meet operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Previous dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong work ethic and reliability. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks in a warm, humid environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
