Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Prep Cook/Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team. This vital role ensures the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting food service activities. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for food preparation, a strong commitment to food safety, and a desire to contribute to a positive dining experience. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced food industry environment. Duties Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to menu specifications Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently and thoroughly Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold safety standards and prevent contamination Assist with basic menu planning and ingredient organization to streamline kitchen operations Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, sanitized, and properly maintained Support catering and special event setups as needed, including serving and replenishing food items Experience Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred but not required Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or catering setting is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques is essential Familiarity with kitchen tools such as knives and other culinary equipment is beneficial Prior experience in the food industry or culinary environment will help you excel in this role Strong attention to detail in meal preparation and maintaining cleanliness standards Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting Join us in creating a welcoming environment where quality food and exceptional service come together!
