Job Description

Columbia Edgewater Country Club is one of Portland's premier, membership driven golf clubs. Hosting tournaments, special events, and multiple dining experiences for members to enjoy, 7 days a week.

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our team. This position is part-time and will be scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, and occaisional Monday shifts.

Position Description:
Line CookAssisting the Food and Beverage director, Executive Chef, and Sous Chef in the overall success of Kitchen, the Lead Line is tasked with upholding and enforcing the Kitchen specifications and guidelines. The Line Cook also assists with food preparation, maintaining and enforcing quality standards, sanitation, and cleanliness.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesComplies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards. Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques.

Store food properly and safely; Mark the date and item; Practice first in/outCheck your chemicals regularly. Refresh water and clean filters every 45 minutesAlert chef to any issue or irregularity noticed with dish machineEffective operating temperature is 145 degreesIf machine sits idle for more than 15 minutes, check temperature gauge to determine if it needs to be refreshedRack then spray off plateware for maximum efficiencyKeep bus tubs free of dishes Keeps work area neat and clean at all timesUses proper tools for the tasks at handFollows procedures to avoid cross contaminationCleans and maintains equipment used in food preparationReports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisorPrepares food served using established recipes, production procedures, and systemsCheck in and receive deliveries as needed; Ensure accuracyCorrectly prepares all food served following standard recipes and plating design
