The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. The Dishwasher's primary responsibility is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation within the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment. They also assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash, in addition to other duties as assigned. This position may also involve basic food preparation, like chopping vegetables or making salads, among other items.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Washing Dishes:
Operating and maintaining dishwashers, handwashing delicate items, and ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
Maintaining Kitchen Cleanliness:
Keeping the kitchen area clean, organized, and sanitized, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
Disposing of Waste:
Removing trash and recyclables and disposing of them according to health and safety regulations.
Maintaining Equipment:
Ensuring that dishwashers and other equipment are functioning properly and reporting any issues to the Chef or Sous Chef.
Following Safety and Sanitation Procedures:
Adhering to all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Assisting with bringing items to the kitchen (food, cleaning supplies, other items).
General Support:
Providing support to the kitchen staff during busy periods and assisting with other tasks as needed. Assisting with
Food Preparation:
Basic food preparation tasks like chopping vegetables or making salads, in addition to other prep duties (if requested and/or if needed). Other Duties

Qualifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, and kitchen safety. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Positive attitude and willingness to help other kitchen staff. Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.
Working conditions:
- Hours vary based on available shift.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Currently position needs include Fridays and Mondays.
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion. Able to go up and down stairs on a regular basis while carrying various items.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move heavy items.
- Work with hot/cold various kitchen equipment and food temperatures.
- Working in hot temperatures at times.
