In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a spotless and organized dish area, ensuring all cookware, utensils, and tableware are properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for service. Your dedication helps create a seamless dining experience for guests and supports our culinary team in delivering exceptional food service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational skills in food handling, kitchen operations, and hospitality. Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold health standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as basic chopping or ingredient setup when needed. Support the catering and banquet teams by providing clean dishes and utensils for events. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area by regularly cleaning sinks, counters, and storage spaces. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items during busy service periods. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met at all times. Help with general cleaning duties around the kitchen to uphold a safe and welcoming environment. Skills Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and sanitation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards. Basic understanding of food handling safety protocols. Experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Good teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or containers.
