The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure a smooth and hygienic food service operation. This role is essential in supporting food preparation, service, and overall restaurant or hospitality operations. Prior experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to cleanliness are essential qualities for success in this position. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning techniques. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all sanitation standards are met. Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas as needed to support food service operations. Support food preparation tasks such as basic food handling and in prep work under supervision. Ensure proper storage of clean dishes and kitchen supplies to promote organization and efficiency. Collaborate with kitchen staff to meet the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene required in a fast-paced environment. Assist with catering events or banquet setups when necessary, including cleaning and organizing serving ware. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is a plus but not mandatory. Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if required by the establishment's schedule. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed for cleaning tasks.
