Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping ingredients, assembling dishes, and portioning food items according to recipes and safety guidelines. Support catering and banquet events by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely setup and cleanup. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen surfaces through regular cleaning routines. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to health regulations. Buss tables during service hours by clearing plates, refilling supplies, and assisting servers as needed to enhance guest satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy periods and special events. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation practices. Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and bending frequently. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced setting. Basic knowledge of culinary processes including food preparation, cooking assistance, and cleaning routines. Experience with banquet or large event catering is a plus but not mandatory.
