Dishwasher/Helper (Only Weekends)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Today, with more than 20 years of experience in offering one of the finest Sushi in Venezuela & Miami, Florida; we are expanding our operations to Katy, Texas. We are looking for reliable, hardworking and professional candidates. All applicants must possess knowledge of restaurant kitchen procedures, basic knife skills and a solid understanding of food preparation and health code standards. Clean dishes, kitchen and front of the house, food preparation equipment, and utensils. Responsible to keep kitchen floor clean, restroom clean and help to dump the trashes. Follows all procedures based on regulations set by KOKAI and the state to create a safe and sanitary establishment.

RESPONSABILITIES

Wash dishes, flatware, pots and pans by hand. Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition. Responsible to keep kitchen floor clean, restroom clean and help to dump the trashes. Stock supplies, such as food, utensils, paper goods, beverages in serving stations and refrigerators. Rotates dry and fresh goods following the first in, first out rule. Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving. Receive and store supplies. Changes out grease by following schedule outlined by management. Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies. Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas. Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks Cleaning floors, bathrooms and walls at end of day Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Operation and Control-Controlling operations of equipment or systems. Social Perceptiveness-Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do. Operation Monitoring-Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Troubleshooting-Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Time Management-Managing one's own time and the time of others. Monitoring-Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Service Orientation-Actively looking for ways to help people. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must repeatedly sit, stand, stoop, speak, listen, and use hands to seize, grip, hold, reach, turn, lift or carry objects 50 lbs. or less, and use equipment requiring high dexterity. Fluent Communication in English & Spanish preferred.
