The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential in supporting our culinary staff and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Duties Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking. Support kitchen staff by bussing tables and clearing away used dishes to maintain a tidy dining environment. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure safe food handling practices. Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely service during peak hours. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly. Skills Experience in a catering or hotel environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Basic knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations. Willingness to help out in various areas of the kitchen as needed.
