Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line/Dish/Prep Associate, where your energy and attention to detail will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food experiences. In this fast-paced position, you will support food preparation, dishwashing, and overall kitchen operations to ensure smooth service and uphold the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills, gain valuable restaurant experience, and contribute to a vibrant food service environment. Duties Assist with meal preparation by chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to menu specifications Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure all utensils, cookware, and dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized Support kitchen staff in food handling and basic cooking tasks to maintain efficient workflow Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards Handle food items carefully during preparation and serving to prevent contamination or spoilage Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, knife skills, and sanitation procedures Skills Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential Basic knowledge of menu planning and meal preparation techniques Strong food handling and safety awareness aligned with industry standards Ability to operate kitchen equipment including dishwashers, knives, and cooking tools safely Excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness and order in busy environments Experience in food service or restaurant settings demonstrates familiarity with fast-paced workflows Good communication skills for teamwork and customer service when needed This position is an excellent stepping stone for those passionate about the food industry who want to build their culinary expertise while contributing to a supportive team environment.
