Line Cook / Prep Cook / Dish Washer Charred Swift Creek - Midlothian, VA Charred Swift Creek is hiring line cooks and prep cooks to join our kitchen team. We are looking for dependable, motivated people who want to be part of a kitchen built on preparedness, professionalism, and the pursuit of perfection . This is a fast-paced restaurant kitchen with high standards. We need team members who can move with urgency, communicate clearly, stay organized, and take pride in putting out consistent food every shift. We are not just looking for someone to fill a schedule. We are looking for people who want to learn, grow, and become strong, reliable members of the team.

The right person for this position is someone who: Shows up on time and ready to work Moves with purpose and urgency Communicates clearly during service Takes coaching and correction professionally Keeps their station clean, stocked, and organized Cares about food quality and consistency Works well with others under pressure Understands that prep, setup, and communication are what make service successful Experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability, and work ethic matter just as much.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute menu items according to Charred standards Work stations such as fry/GM, sauté, grill, pizza, prep or dish Follow recipes, portioning, plating, and garnish standards Maintain a clean and organized station throughout the shift Communicate with expo, managers, and other cooks during service Help with prep, restocking, cleaning, and closing duties Follow food safety, labeling, dating, and sanitation standards Work as part of a team during busy services, including weekends and high-volume nights
Requirements:
Kitchen or restaurant experience preferred Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable transportation Willingness to learn Charred's systems and standards Positive attitude and professional work ethic Our Kitchen Culture At Charred, we believe a strong kitchen starts before service ever begins. We expect our cooks to work with urgency, respect the product, respect the team, and take pride in the food leaving the window. We can train recipes and station skills, but we are looking for people who already bring effort, reliability, and professionalism. Pay Pay is based on experience and position. Adjust as needed based on position and experience level.
