Dishwasher/Food Prep

Job Overview We are seeking a Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our team at Guild Tavern. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and hospitality operations while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Pay This is a tipped position, base rate is $14.25 an hour plus tips. Total Average Earnings estimated depending on hours & schedule worked. Duties Maintain cleanliness of all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment through proper washing and sanitizing procedures Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients to support culinary staff Support catering and banquet events by providing timely dishwashing and food prep assistance Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation standards to promote a healthy environment Help with general cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining areas to maintain a spotless workspace Follow all health regulations and safety protocols diligently to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not required—training will be provided for motivated candidates Knowledge of basic food handling procedures and sanitation standards Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency Strong attention to detail when cleaning, organizing, and assisting with food prep tasks Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with kitchen equipment, dishwashing machinery, or culinary tools is a plus but not mandatory Passion for hospitality, cooking, or culinary arts is highly valued This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in food preparation, cleaning, and hospitality while working in an energetic environment committed to excellence.
