Banquet Kitchen - Banquet Steward Kalispel Tribe of Indians - 3.7 Airway Heights, WA Job Details Full-time 17 hours ago Qualifications Food service health code compliance Moving High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Summary of Functions Maintains kitchen work areas, restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- Internal Controls, and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures. Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine. Washes pots, pans, and trays. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors. Washes and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and racks. Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Requisition cleaning supplies as needed. Cleans and organizes banquet items for set up such as chaffers, plates and utensils. Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record. May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings. This job description does not list all of the duties of this position. Experience One to three months related experience and/or training helpful; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills & Abilities Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions. Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Other Requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Work Permit 1. Valid health card or ServSafe equivalent Hepatitis A vaccination. Work nights, weekends and holidays as required. Physical Demands Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 75 pounds. Constantly requires the ability to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication. Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of essential instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly. Constantly requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm. Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks. Requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods. Requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally. Requires stooping, which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Occasionally requires crouching. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The worker is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which protect from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, and is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions and wet and/or humid conditions.
