Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to the overall efficiency of our food service operations, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Duties Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors as needed. Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking. Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed to maintain food safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes for service. Help organize and maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and utensils. Participate in cleaning tasks during closing shifts to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next day's operations. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Willingness to learn basic food preparation techniques and assist cooks as needed. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 50 pounds).
