Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Preparation/Dishwasher, where your energy and attention to detail will help create a seamless and efficient kitchen environment. In this vital role, you'll support food service operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food prep, and ensuring all kitchen areas meet the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Your proactive approach will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences and supporting our culinary staff in meal preparation and service. Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items under supervision. Support the kitchen team in maintaining a tidy work environment by cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas regularly. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to sanitation guidelines. Assist with meal preparation and plating as directed by culinary staff to ensure timely service. Support catering events or special meal services by preparing ingredients or assisting with setup and cleanup. Follow all health and safety regulations to prevent contamination or accidents in the kitchen. Experience Previous experience working in a dietary department, restaurant, or food industry setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food handling, sanitation practices, and basic kitchen operations is highly desirable. Experience in dietary aide roles or catering services will be considered an asset. Strong knife skills and knowledge of food safety standards are advantageous. Prior experience with menu planning, meal preparation, or cooking enhances your fit for this role. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is essential. $17.13 - $22.00 per hour
