As our Kitchen Steward, you'll report directly to our Executive Chef, who'll help show you the ropes as you learn to support the culinary and operations team in various daily functions by maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, while assisting our Sous Chef with light food prep. We're looking for a friendly and detail-oriented individual, ready to take on the following responsibilities: Customer Service - Engage with customers by providing quality service and products by delivering their food efficiently and on-time. Carry a friendly, energetic, personable demeanor and passion for great customer service, with a customer-first mentality. Demonstrates that customers come first by serving them with sense of urgency.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times. Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times. Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with health regulations and company standards. Adhere to all sanitation guidelines. Collects and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures. Dispose of waste as per health department standards and adhere to recycling and composting guidelines. Ensure waste bin area is kept clean and tidy. Carry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, and washing up. Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures. Cleans and maintains floors and walls in kitchen and dish washing area by following standard procedures. Cleans and sanitizes dishes and related service ware following established procedures. Cleans large equipment as assigned, following established procedures. Consistently adheres to MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace. Knowledge and proficiency to operate industrial dish washers. Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order. Check all chemical levels inventory and report any needs to the Executive Chef. Wash, Sort, stack dishes, and load/unload dishwasher Wash, Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner. If any breakages or chipped items are found, then remove them from circulation and update the breakage and inventory log. Clean, sanitize and close workstations. Uses and maintains all equipment's according to manufacturer and department guidelines. Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the Executive Chef or Sous Chef Assist in light food preparation as directed by manager or chef on duty. Qualifications and Experience:
Must have a minimum of 1 years of experience in the Catering/Hospitality industry. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality with or without reasonable accommodation. Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work quickly, embrace and learn new information, multi-task and incorporate feedback into personal performance. Available to perform many different tasks within operations during each shift. Must be at least 18 years of age Authorized to work in the United States Food Handlers Card Must have a professional image and friendly demeanor. Demonstrate a passion for growth in the culinary industry. Demonstrate a passion for the hospitality and event industry. To be a successful Team Member of ACT 3 Catering:
