- Pool to help provide an exceptional experience for the residents of Leisure World Seal Beach, one of Southern California's premier active adult communities.
This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of approximately six (6) months. The duration may be adjusted based on operational needs. If you enjoy working outdoors, interacting with people, and taking pride in maintaining safe, clean recreational facilities, we'd love to hear from you. About the Role As a Recreation Attendant
- Pool, you will help ensure the safe operation of our swimming pool and spa facilities by monitoring resident activity, maintaining water quality, enforcing pool rules, and keeping the facility clean and welcoming.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, takes initiative, and is committed to excellent customer service. This position includes cross-training in other Recreation Attendant assignments, including Clubhouse Attendant, Room Reservations, and other recreation support functions. Team members are expected to work in multiple recreation areas as operational needs require, providing a variety of work experiences and scheduling flexibility. What You'll Do Monitor pool and spa areas to promote resident safety Enforce pool rules and verify resident eligibility Maintain clean and sanitary pool, spa, bathhouse, and surrounding areas Test pool and spa water chemistry and maintain proper chemical levels Perform routine pool cleaning, including vacuuming and deck maintenance Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Update facility signage as needed Assist with other recreation operations through cross-training and departmental support Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong swimming ability with the ability to assist swimmers in distress Excellent customer service and communication skills Dependable, attentive, and able to work independently Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching throughout the shift CPR, AED, and First Aid certification will be provided upon hire.
