Job Description

Pro Shop Attendant Parks & Recreation Department - Shennecossett Golf Course Part-Time, up to 18 hours per week
STARTING RATE
(through 6/30/26): $17.00/hour
POSITION RANGE
(through 6/30/26): $17.00-$18.00/hour
STARTING RATE
(effective 7/1/26): $17.50/hour
POSITION RANGE
(effective 7/1/26): $17.50-$19.25/hour
POSITION OVERVIEW & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The skills and knowledge required for this role would generally be acquired with a high school education combined with a minimum of two years of experience in the golf industry or a related field. Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of the game of golf, its rules and regulations, standard golf facilities and equipment, and golf course promotion and marketing. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are required, including the ability to interact courteously and professionally with club members, guests, staff, and golf personnel. Additionally, proficiency with computer systems, strong word processing capabilities, and accurate typing skills are essential. Candidates must have a proven ability to handle cash, process credit card transactions, and accurately reconcile daily sales. This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evening hours, weekends, and holidays as needed. Candidate must possess and maintain a valid motor's vehicle operator's license.
