Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with inquiries about the course, amenities, and services Handle cash transactions accurately during sales of golf merchandise, food, beverages, and rental equipment Manage retail inventory, restock merchandise, and maintain an organized shop environment Coordinate and support special events or tournaments held at the resort, ensuring seamless guest experiences Provide guest services such as club fitting assistance, equipment rentals, and scheduling tee times Address guest concerns promptly with professionalism and conflict management skills to resolve issues effectively Assist with food service operations during peak times or special events as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop area to uphold high standards of hospitality Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Golf Pro Shop Attendant to join our team at a premier golf course. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing retail sales, and ensuring the shop operates smoothly. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for golf. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, as this position may involve supervising staff and assisting customers with product selections. The Golf Pro Shop Attendant plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for golfers and visitors alike. Responsibilities Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties Assist customers with product demos, merchandise selection, and upselling items such as golf equipment, apparel, and accessories Maintain proper merchandising by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the shop is clean and inviting Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering golf advice, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment to ensure product availability Supervise or assist in supervising junior staff or volunteers as needed Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide information about shop products or tee times Support retail sales efforts through effective communication skills and product knowledge Ensure the shop adheres to safety standards and maintains a professional appearance at all times Skills Strong retail sales experience with proficiency in POS systems and cash handling Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone Basic math skills for transactions, retail math for pricing, discounts, and inventory management Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos to enhance sales opportunities Supervising experience is preferred to oversee staff or volunteers during shifts Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve a diverse clientele Upselling skills to promote additional products or services effectively Knowledge of golf equipment and apparel is beneficial but not required; enthusiasm for golf is preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining shop presentation This position offers an engaging environment where customer interaction and retail expertise come together to create an exceptional shopping experience for golf enthusiasts.
