Job Description
Job Description Camp Cheeca, is a 7 day a week, family-focused program designed to entertain kids. Camp Cheeca offers daily activities that are enthralling and fun, with a unique combination of arts and crafts, exploration, and outdoor activities led by knowledgeable counselors. This fun and exciting camp is the perfect complement to any Islamorada family at our Florida resort for kids. This role would also help staff the "Kids Night Out" program, so evening availability will be needed. This role involves organizing, leading, and supervising various activities, ensuring a positive and memorable stay for all guests. Activities at Camp Cheeca Arts and crafts Scavenger hunts Outdoor play set Environmental learning and exploration Board games Coconut painting Coconut bowling Sports court including pickleball, basketball, shuffleboard and hopscotch 65" TV for gaming, movies, and documentaries Beach Storytelling Camp Cheeca welcomes children ages 5 -12. Camp Cheeca employees will also help supplement coverage as-needed for the Guest Adventures team by staffing all other areas including the towel Cabanas and Golf Attendant roles.
Qualifications:
Lives locally (within driving distance - Out-of-state and out-of-country applicants will not be considered at this time ) High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work weekends and holidays. Previous experience working with children Previous experience in recreation or hospitality preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Passion for creating fun and engaging experiences for guests of all ages.
