Golf Shop Attendant

Description Cherokee Town & Country Club in Sandy Springs, GA is seeking an accomplished and passionate Full-Time Golf Shop Attendant to provide a high level of customer service to all members and guests who enter the golf shop.

Reports To:

Director of Retail Key Responsibilities:

• Greet all members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Assist members with tee time reservations and lesson bookings
• Check in members for their tee times on NorthStar
• Assist members with tournament registration and other event sign-ups
• Answer phone calls in a timely manner
• Handle sales transactions including cash, credit card, and member charges
• Walk the shop to ensure all merchandise is properly displayed and organized, meeting the expectations of the Merchandise team
• Attend to and prioritize any needs that members or guests may have
• Ensure the shop is consistently well-stocked by filling in golf balls, gloves, tees, etc.
• Assist the Merchandise team in updating shop displays including tagging, steaming, hanging/folding new products
• Notify the Merchandise team when shop items are running low and reorders are needed
• Restock gift bags, tissue paper, hangers, etc. in the golf shop when needed
• Assist with unpacking and organizing daily FedEx/UPS deliveries in the stockrooms
• Assist the Merchandise team with maintaining clean and organized stockrooms
• Unpack special order deliveries and notify members of their arrival
• Maintain the inventory of office supplies for the golf shop such as pens, pencils, paper, tape, highlighters, etc.
• Assist the Merchandise team in executing the annual employee sale
• Open/close the golf shop properly so daily operations run smoothly
• Dust, clean, and vacuum the golf shop on a regular basis and when shop activity is low
• Prioritize the organization of the golf shop counter and surrounding spaces, keeping it clean and professional for member viewing
• Knowledgeable of the Cherokee Golf Operation as a whole
• Resolve member concerns or issues as they arise promptly and professionally, keeping the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional informed

Other Skills:

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required
• Experience with RPOS software NorthStar is desirable, but not required
• Previous work experience in the private club or golf course setting is preferred
