DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to assist in various trades including but not limited to construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry that involve the maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction of fixtures, equipment, and facilities. This trades worker position serves on the carpentry crew responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of park amenities with an emphasis on playground and park equipment repair. Duties include upkeep and repair of playgrounds, drop-in soccer areas, bleachers, and a range of sport courts such as basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and tennis. The position focuses on ensuring safe, functional, and well-maintained recreational structures, including playground components, court surfaces, and equipment such as nets and bleachers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Six (6) months of related experience Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Identifies maintenance and repair needs Performs repair and maintenance work in areas such as construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry Prepares logs and reports to understand and monitor progress on projects Operates heavy equipment to haul items and complete tasks and projects Addresses service requests as they are placed Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
All certifications and licenses must be maintained as a condition of employment. Valid Driver's License Valid Kentucky Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class B and a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner¿s Certificate within the six (6) month probationary period
