Pool Attendant
INTRODUCTION TO
ROLEThe Pool Attendant position ensures the safety of pool and waterpark patrons and assists with aquatic programs and pool operation. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Lifeguard and Facility Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK

Safeguards and regulates the conduct of pool and waterpark patrons. Enforces park policies, rules, and regulations. Monitors patrons during the use of park amenities
Supports the safe and orderly use of pool and park amenities, such as slides and other aquatic fixtures, by safety standards
Respond quickly, intelligently, and decisively by established emergency and accident procedures. Must be alert and actively seek to prevent accidents and eliminate risk.
Attends in-service training and instructs staff in certain skills. Provides customer service to patrons, including handling conflicts and complaints as needed.
Performs work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures. Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practices to the supervisor. Ensures park facilities are maintained to safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
Must communicate with patrons professionally and courteously to answer questions, resolve conflicts, and enforce park policies and rules.
Performs other duties as assigned
Provides regular and reliable attendance
WHO YOU WILL WORK
WITHThe Pool Attendant works under the general supervision of a Lifeguard and Facility Manager.
WHAT YOU BRING
Preferred:
A valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certificate and American Red Cross First Aid certificate or other comparable certification. AND/OR certified in American Red Cross Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Previous experience working as a pool attendant
Must be able to swim independently

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, swimming, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
