Lead Recreation Attendant

Position Overview:

The Lead Recreation Attendant plays a vital role in supporting the Recreation Department by leading, training, and motivating a team of recreation staff while fostering a fun, safe, and engaging atmosphere for guests. This position focuses on leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to create memorable experiences for resort guests through daily activities and team-building programs. The Lead Recreation Attendant will assist in daily operations, ensure safety standards are met, and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional guest service and create a welcoming environment for all resort visitors. Address guest concerns and resolve complaints within scope of authority; escalate when necessary. Enforce all safety and security standards to protect guests, staff, and resort property. Oversee and maintain recreation facilities, water play, and sports areas, ensuring proper safety and preventative maintenance procedures. Train, mentor, and motivate recreation associates to perform at their highest potential. Plan, organize, and lead daily guest activities, including group programs and team-building events. Assist in developing new activities, programs, and guest engagement initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Recreation Department and resort operations.

Job Requirements:

Leadership and training abilities with a positive, team-oriented mindset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to resolve conflicts and handle guest or associate concerns professionally. Education & Experience Previous recreation, hospitality, or leadership experience preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record (as defined by company insurance standards). #GVL
