Non-Exempt We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy pool attendant to look after our guests and manage the swimming pool area. In this role, you will be required to welcome and attend to our guests, enforce safety rules, and manage pool equipment and facilities, among other duties. To be a successful pool attendant, you will need to have excellent customer service skills, be highly organized, and have a good knowledge of swimming pool equipment and maintenance. A skilled pool attendant should be friendly, physically fit, and be able to assist swimmers in danger when necessary. Position Summary Connestee Falls Property Owners Association (CFPOA) is a semi-private, member-owned community located in Brevard, North Carolina, encompassing more than 3,900 acres of private property. The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming pool environment for residents and their guests. This role involves monitoring pool activities, enforcing community rules, performing light maintenance, and providing excellent customer service. This is a seasonal position. Key Duties & Responsibilities Monitor pool area to ensure safety and compliance with POA rules and regulations Politely enforce pool policies, including guest limits, proper attire, and behavior standards Open and close pool facilities according to schedule Maintain cleanliness of pool deck, furniture, restrooms, and surrounding areas Perform routine checks of pool equipment and report any maintenance issues Set up and organize pool furniture, umbrellas, and equipment Assist residents and guests with questions or concerns in a professional manner Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established procedures Report incidents, accidents, or rule violations to management Community Standards Maintain professionalism and positive customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors. Ensure all work aligns with POA standards for cleanliness, safety, and appearance. when the pool opens following inspection, between mid-May and no later than Memorial Day weekend Thursday-Saturday 12pm-7pm Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Shifts may vary based on pool hours and seasonal needs Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous customer service or pool-related experience is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain attentive and responsible in a safety-focused environment Basic knowledge of pool safety and maintenance (or willingness to learn) Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physical Demands Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods Ability to lift to [20-50 lbs., as needed] Comfortable working outdoors in heat, humidity, and sun exposure Drug-Free Workplace and EEO Statement CFPOA is a drug-free workplace and an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
