The City of La Vista's Recreation department has got the perfect opportunity for you! See the attached job description for full details on responsibilities and qualifications. As a Recreation Attendant, you will: Greet and engage with patrons of all ages, providing top-notch customer service both over the phone and in-person while ensuring everyone has an enjoyable experience at our recreational facilities. Use various types of computer programs and software to assist in daily Recreation Department operations. Help with the set-up/tear-down for events, make reservations, process registrations, handle money, and ensure the facilities remain in tip-top shape. Work with a variety of recreational programs and events, including fitness classes, sports leagues, and special events.
Qualifications and Skills needed:
Be at least 16 years old. A friendly attitude, clear communication skills, and a knack for problem-solving. Basic computer and math skills (money-changing included). Capable of high-level multi-tasking and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. First Aid and CPR certified (or you're ready to get certified once you're hired - we'll help you with that!). You're able to work a variety of shifts and be super dependable.
Shifts Available:
Flexible scheduling with a variety of shifts, including weekday mornings, afternoons, and evenings as well as a minimum of one weekend a month. Must possess the ability to work approximately 15 to 28 hours per week. Monday through
Friday:
7:45 am to 12:30 pm or 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm or 5:00 pm to 9:15 pm
Saturday:
7:45 am to 1:00 pm or 12:45 pm to 6:15 pm
Sunday:
May-August 11:45 am to 6:00 pm September-April 12:45 pm to 5:00 pm or 4:45 pm to 9:15 pm
Note:
A background check and drug screen will follow all conditional offers of employment.
