Temporary, Part-time Job Description:
The Heckscher Park Chapin Stage is seeking dedicated and skilled Stage Technicians to join our team for the summer season. We are looking for individuals with expertise in lighting, sound, back line, and general stagehand duties to ensure the smooth operation of our events. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and creative environment, contributing to a variety of performances and events at a renowned outdoor venue.Responsibilities:
Depending onSkills:
Set up, operate, and maintain lighting equipment Set up, operate, and maintain sound systems, including microphones, speakers, and mixing consoles Assist with back line setup and maintenance, including musical instruments and equipment Perform general stagehand duties, including loading and unloading equipment, setting up stages, and assisting performers and crew Troubleshoot technical issues during performances and events Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all timesQualifications:
Previous experience in stage production, specifically in lighting, sound, and back line Ability to work in a fast-paced, live event environment Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot on the fly Excellent communication and teamwork skills Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends Passion for live performance and dedication to delivering high-quality technical supportBenefits:
