Responsibilities Berkley Entertainment is seeking an Underwriting Associate to join their team! This role is located in their Irving TX office on a hybrid basis. This is a great opportunity for a new or recent college graduate interested in entering the insurance industry. The Underwriting Associate plays a key role in supporting the underwriting team and brokers by managing renewal transactions for property and casualty lines within the Entertainment and Sports industries. This position ensures timely and accurate processing of renewals, contributing to client satisfaction and operational efficiency. Prepare renewal quotations for transmission to brokers within assigned authority. Gather updated underwriting information, perform rating, and prepare renewal solicitations for assigned brokers. Support underwriters by following up on required documentation such as Motor Vehicle Reports, broker licenses and loss control surveys. Analyze loss reports for adverse development and escalate as needed. Coordinate policy changes and issuance of conditional or non-renewal notices. Perform other duties as assigned to support team goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field preferred. Foundational Knowledge of property and casualty insurance is preferred. Eagerness to further education in insurance. Strong decision-making and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all organizational levels. Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to service. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
