Announcement number 26-12970125 Control number 870472800 This job is open to Help The public U.S. Citizens, Nionals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Duties Help Supervision 25% Performs supervisory duties which include assigning work, defining priorities, selecting and recommending applicants for hire, evaluing performance, recommending pay adjustments/awards, providing or recommending training, approving and/or disapproving leave requests, initiing corrective actions, and recommending formal corrective/disciplinary actions as warranted. Authorizes personnel action requests (SF-52) and ensures timekeeping documents are submitted in accordance with local direction. Ensures interviews and selection of new hires is performed in accordance with established hiring practices. Leads day to day operion of multiple programs to which assigned: assists with staffing, training and scheduling. Program Management 35% Serves as a liaison for MWR reled activities associed with the Training Support Center (TSC), Fleet and Family Readiness (N9), and other tenant commands on base on an as needed basis. Responsible for the development, management, maintenance, planning, business plan execution, and administrion of a diverse program. Marketing 15% Researches and provides informion and referral on a variety of recreional opportunities for individuals/families on and off base. Responsible for planning, coordining, publicizing, marketing and execution of programs and special events within the Community Recreion program by utilizing all available resources. Seeks ways to promote and market MWR facilities and events through outreach opportunities on base. Administrion 25% Provides administrive duties and support through after action reports, da collection and dabase administrion. All administrive duties are completed through a variety of sources including computer software which tracks pron usage and responses. Solicits input from activity managers regarding internal short/long range goals, business plan objectives and program standards. Assists with writing standard opering procedures. Performs regular analysis of projected projects and programs; considering opering budget, staffing requirements, plans, trends, command mission and changing populion. Takes timely action to correct deficiencies through coordinion with approprie entities. Leads and performs check in and check out of merials and collects any applicable fees by opering point of sale (POS) computer system for equipment and activities associed with Community Recreion Programs. Completes a daily activity report (DAR) to ensure accountability for balancing and reconciliion of daily sales transactions. Performs inventory of various types of equipment, retail items, supplies and any other item deemed to have cash value. Promotes customer service awareness and informion, requisitioning merchandise, ensuring adeque stock levels, entertainment and promotion schedules. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualificions Knowledge gained through relevant educion and training (i.e., bachelor's degree in Recreion, Marketing, Business or closely reled field) and/or equivalent recreion reled work experience. Combinion of experience reled to customer service and or activity-based functions. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions and have the ability to effectively communice both orally and in writing. Knowledge of recreional programs. Knowledge of the goals, principles, techniques and methods of procedure used in organizing, planning and conducting all types of activities. Knowledge of the entire scope of activities and their suitability in the Community Recreion Program for individuals and groups of varying demographics, ages and interests. Ability to cree, negotie, implement and sustain partnerships via various MWR agreements. Ability to maintain a clear and accure dabase. Ability to represent the department and speak in front of both small and large groups. Program planning and leadership skills to devise and implement a leisure and social recreion program th will stimule and sustain the interest of participants and challenge participants th they may benefit from the social values to be derived from recreional activities. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid ste driver's license within 90 days of being placed in the position. Ability to communice effectively both orally and in writing.
