Job Description

To supervise and run the Aquatic department in a safe and fun manner. Oversee all swimming programs run in the YMCA pools and assist Outdoor Director in water safety and staff training. Hire and manage all aquatic staff including all lifeguards, swim instructors, AOA instructors, swim team coaches and volunteers.
Qualifications:
Two or more years of supervisory experience in an aquatic program Posses current Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid base level and instructor level certifications. Promote an enthusiastic, cheerful, exciting, safe, environment. Follow and promote the YMCA Philosophy Relate well to participants, parents and staff members. Show leadership, maturity, and self-control Ability to train swim instructors. Demonstrate strong skills in both swimming and aquatic safety. Pleasant outlook and willingness to work.
