Position Overview We are looking for a Pool Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pool facility for the upcoming season, starting May 24th . This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and enjoys leading a team while ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all guests. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily pool operations, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all members and guests Supervise and manage lifeguards and front desk staff (scheduling, training, performance) Ensure all safety regulations and pool rules are consistently enforced Maintain proper chemical levels and coordinate routine pool maintenance Handle member inquiries, feedback, and any on-site issues professionally Manage staff schedules, time tracking, and coverage for shifts Coordinate with management on events, programming, and facility needs Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pool deck, locker rooms, and surrounding areas Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and incidents Qualifications Previous experience managing a pool or recreational facility preferred Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to stay calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of pool operations and safety standards Required certifications (or willingness to obtain): Lifeguard Certification CPR/AED Certification Pool Operator Certification (CPO preferred) Schedule & Availability Two options: Full-year role Seasonal role (typically May - September) Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hoursSimilar jobs in Washington, DC
