Job Summary:
We are seeking to fill a 10 hr/week Fitness Center Manager position. This role is ideal for the Trainer looking to add additional stable hours to their day in a management role, and/or one looking to gain experience in fitness management, with the ability to still train/teach classes both onsite and externally to gain additional compensation. Expected hours to start are Tue-Thur 11am-2pm, with the potential to change/increase in the future. The FCM is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility. This role includes supervising instructors, executing marketing and sales strategies, managing payroll and budgets, ensuring equipment and facility upkeep, and delivering outstanding member experiences. The ideal candidate will lead by example, motivate staff, and help drive success through operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and maintaining a comprehensive facility operations manual with written policies for services, administration, and maintenance, following Arch Amenities Group templates. Submit all paperwork, including payroll and financial reports, in accordance with company policy. Deliver excellent customer service and actively monitor feedback through surveys, comment cards, and personal follow-up. Help develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage. Oversee daily facility operations, including opening/closing procedures, inspections, cash handling, and general maintenance. Contribute to the creation of monthly client reports. Implement purchasing and inventory control procedures. Execute monthly promotional and sales initiatives aligned with the facility's marketing plan. Ensure all staff uphold the Arch Amenities Group "Basics-To-Excellence" standards. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Recreation, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. National Personal Training Certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, NSCA) preferred. CPR and First Aid Certification required. Demonstrated leadership ability and strong work ethic. Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Proven success in marketing, promotion, and sales. Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational demeanor. Professional appearance and demeanor. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with computers, scheduling software, and office equipment. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Understanding of proper body mechanics and injury prevention practices.
