Studio Manager / Fitness Sales Manager - Basecamp Fitness (Schererville, IN) Overview Basecamp Fitness is seeking a high-performance Studio Manager / Sales Manager to lead operations, sales, and team development at our Schererville, IN studio. This is a leadership role in a boutique fitness studio environment focused on membership sales, team management, customer experience, and operational excellence . We are looking for a motivated, action-oriented leader with strong experience in sales management, fitness management, retail management, or gym operations leadership . Compensation Competitive base salary + performance-based compensation (sales bonuses + growth incentives) Job Summary The Studio Manager is responsible for driving overall studio performance including: Membership sales growth and lead generation Staff leadership and team development Daily fitness studio operations Member experience and retention This role requires a strong background in sales leadership, fitness management, and people development , with a focus on hitting KPIs and building a high-energy, results-driven culture. Key ResponsibilitiesFitness Studio Management & Leadership Manage daily operations of a fitness studio / boutique gym Recruit, hire, train, and onboard fitness and sales staff Lead staff scheduling and workforce planning Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and accountability Develop Assistant Studio Managers and front desk/sales team members Run team meetings focused on performance, culture, and goals Sales Management & Membership Growth Drive membership sales and studio revenue growth Execute lead generation strategies (in-studio, community outreach, events, marketing) Manage the full sales cycle: lead follow-up, tours, conversion, and retention Monitor and improve sales KPIs and conversion rates Ensure consistent execution of sales systems and processes Support promotions, pre-sales, and local marketing initiatives Gym Operations & Business Performance Oversee KPIs including revenue, payroll, inventory, retention, and member satisfaction Maintain operational systems and ensure accuracy of reporting Manage studio retail and product inventory Ensure facility standards, cleanliness, and brand consistency Identify and resolve operational issues impacting profitability or member experience Culture & Member Experience Build a high-energy, motivating fitness studio culture Lead by example in sales, service, and leadership behavior Ensure a welcoming and engaging experience for all members Promote community engagement and member retention initiatives QualificationsRequired Experience 3+ years of sales experience (required) 3+ years of management experience (required) including hiring, coaching, and performance management Experience in fitness industry, gym management, boutique fitness studios, or membership-based sales environments preferred Skills & Competencies Strong background in sales leadership / sales management Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage KPIs and business performance metrics Comfortable with CRM systems (Mindbody or similar) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Schedule Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed Ideal Candidate Fitness Studio Manager, Gym Manager, or Sales Manager background High-energy, results-driven leader Strong in both people leadership and sales performance Passion for fitness, health, and community engagement
