Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Head Racquets Pro to lead our racquets sports program with energy and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of the racquets department, inspiring both staff and members through exceptional coaching, personalized service, and innovative programming. Your leadership will foster a vibrant community centered around tennis, badminton, pickleball, and other racquets sports, ensuring an engaging and rewarding experience for all participants. Duties Lead the racquets department by developing comprehensive programs that cater to players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced athletes. Supervise and mentor racquets staff, including assistant pros and instructors, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on excellence. Provide expert coaching in tennis, badminton, pickleball, or other racquets sports, delivering private lessons, group clinics, and special events that energize members. Manage equipment inventory, including racquets, balls, strings, grips, and accessories; ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all gear. Organize tournaments, leagues, and social events that promote community engagement and healthy competition within the club. Offer exceptional customer service by understanding member needs, providing personalized recommendations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Collaborate with the broader health club team to integrate racquets programming with overall wellness initiatives and facility operations. Requirements Proven experience as a racquets professional or coach with strong leadership skills in a sports or fitness environment. Demonstrated expertise in tennis coaching or other racquets sports such as badminton or pickleball; certification from recognized organizations is preferred. Background in teaching physical education or sports coaching with a focus on skill development and behavior management. Experience working with students of diverse ages and skill levels; ability to adapt coaching methods accordingly. Knowledge of equipment maintenance, inventory management, and safety protocols related to racquets sports facilities. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate team members and foster positive relationships with clients. Additional skills such as lifeguard experience, martial arts (Karate or Judo), swimming, cheerleading, climbing, basketball knowledge or childcare experience are considered valuable assets for creating a well-rounded program offering.
