Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic fitness community as a Fitness Studio General Manager, where you will lead the daily operations of our vibrant fitness facility. This energetic role requires a proactive leader who thrives on motivating teams, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving business growth. As the cornerstone of our studio's success, you will oversee staff management, member engagement, financial oversight, and operational excellence to ensure a welcoming environment that inspires health and wellness for all. General Manager - Hype Haus Fitness (Baton Rouge)Position Type & Status This is a W-2 leadership position averaging 35 hours a week. Onboarding, training, and management responsibilities will begin immediately. Management experience required. Compensation & Benefits $20-$24 per hour Quarterly performance bonuses tied to key studio metrics 5 days of paid time off annually (eligible after 90 days of employment) PTO is paid at your regular hourly rate and does not apply during pre-opening training Role Overview The General Manager is responsible for leading all Front of Haus operations while upholding the Hype Haus brand at the highest level. This role oversees team leadership, studio operations, membership growth, client experience, and community engagement to ensure every member walks into a clean, organized, high-energy, and welcoming environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves building community, and takes ownership of outcomes. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management Lead, train, and develop Front of Haus staff and instructors Uphold and enforce brand standards in energy, hospitality, instruction quality, and cleanliness Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance coaching Foster a positive, inclusive, accountable team culture Address staffing challenges and performance concerns in alignment with company policies Operational Oversight Oversee opening and closing procedures and daily studio flow Maintain high facility standards including lighting, temperature, cleanliness, and equipment Ensure accurate POS usage, membership management, and check-in processes Manage retail inventory, visual merchandising, and restocking Communicate maintenance and system needs to ownership Sales & Membership Growth Drive membership and package sales goals Support retention through thoughtful follow-ups and member engagement Confidently educate prospects on membership options Track and report key performance metrics Client Experience Deliver exceptional customer service at every touchpoint Resolve member concerns promptly and professionally Ensure all team interactions reflect Hype Haus values of inclusivity, kindness, and community Monitor class experiences to ensure adherence to format and brand standards Events & Community Engagement Coordinate partnerships, outreach efforts, and branded pop-up events Assist in planning and executing studio events, challenges, and special programming Represent Hype Haus professionally in all public-facing settings Administrative & Strategic Support Maintain scheduling, payroll reporting, and operational documentation Communicate consistently with ownership through reports and check-ins Assist with marketing initiatives and social media strategy Maintain internal systems, organization, and process efficiency Additional Expectations Uphold all company policies and brand standards Maintain strict confidentiality Support ownership with special projects and evolving operational needs Open and close studio within business hours (tentatively 5:30am-10am, 4:00pm-7:30pm). Every other Saturday and Sunday in studio.
