Assistant Aquatics Director

Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director or designee, the Assistant Aquatics Director is responsible for ensuring all participants are provided with activities that promote the social, cultural, educational, physical, and leadership potential of the child. Under the Assistant Director's supervision, all aquatic classes will be organized and staffed by qualified swim instructors who reflect and support the Mission of the Old Colony Y. The Assistant Aquatics Director will uphold the employee code of conduct and will ensure that all areas of the job responsibilities reflect the mission of the Old Colony Y, and regulating agency. The Assistant Aquatics Director will display and encourage the character traits of caring, responsibility, honesty and respect in the fulfillment of all job duties.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma (associate's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
• Maintain certification in Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid
• Lifeguard Licensed by Jeff Elis and Associates
• Water Safety Instructor certified by the American Red Cross
• Must WSI and LGI training at first viable opportunity to do so
• Must be physically able to teach aquatic lessons & lift an adult male from the pool to the pool deck.
