1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with a compact or ME license and at least 1 year of experience for a Physical Therapy assignment in Bangor, Maine. Details Physical Therapy unit in an acute care hospital setting Day shift hours, either 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM 40 hours per week, variable schedule 13-week contract Requirements Active compact or Maine (ME) PTA license required; license required if applicable Minimum 1 year of experience in Physical Therapy BLS certification required Two professional references within the past year required; at least one must be from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge nurse — peer references are not accepted Copies of all certifications required for consideration Full SSN required for consideration Valid driver's license required Flu vaccination required for clearance to start Additional Information Manager interviews are required for this position Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of Bangor, ME to be eligible Candidates who have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity are not eligible All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration Work history should include hospital name, location, number of beds, trauma level, teaching hospital experience, and EMR/charting system information where applicable Medical exemptions for the flu vaccine are accepted on a case-by-case basis and require a minimum of 2 weeks for committee review; failure to submit in time may result in a delayed start
